Professor Zhang Yuanjie Gives lecture

On June the 21st, 2012, the 21stsession of the “Tongji-ENN Lecture Series” co-hosted by Chinese Academy of Science and Technology Management (CASTM) of Tongji University and the ENN Group was held at Room 302 of the Research and Teaching Building. Dr. Zhang Yuanjie, professor at the Institute of Technology Management, National Tsing Hua University, was invited to deliver a speech entitled Entrepreneurship Universities and Research Ambidexterity: Toward A Multi-Level Analysis. Audience included experts, scholars, doctoral candidates and postgraduate students from Shanghai Advanced Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University, Zhejiang University and Tongji University.

Professor Zhang, with the three functions of modern university—teaching, scientific research and social service—as the point of departure, introduced the term of “research ambidexterity”(RA) and made in-depth explanation from departmental and individual perspectives. He also made a cross-level analysis on the relationship between the development of universities, departmental RA and individual RA.
